What Is Spray Tanning?

A spray tan technician uses a spray gun to apply DHA tanning solution to a client’s body. The spray gun is used to ensure consistent, accurate solution application. Application is easy and keeps areas such as ankles and wrists evenly tanned without having a hard line.

Is It Safe?

Yes, sunless tanning is a safe and proven method of obtaining a tan. As with any personal product, sensitivity can occur but is very rare. If an individual has ever had any adverse effects from utilizing self-tanning products or moisturizers, they may experience a similar effect with spray tanning.

What Is DHA?

DHA, or Dihydroxyacetone is derived from vegetable origin or sugar beets and has been FDA-approved for topical application since 1960s. When DHA comes in contact with the amino acids in the skin, it creates a natural reaction that causes the skin to appear tanned. I source the highest quality Eco-Certified DHA products.

Will I Turn Orange?

How Long Does It Last?

Depending on your skin type, your prep and care, you can expect the spray tan solution to last anywhere from 8-14 days.

How Can I Maximize My Tan?

Limit physical activity during the recommended processing time. Avoid showering, getting wet, or sweating during processing time. DHA continues to react with the skin for up to 12 hours. A tan-extending lotion to keep the skin hydrated, avoiding long hot baths or showers, and the use of exfoliants during the life of the tan can cause premature fading.
